HI, MOM
Performance
THEATER:

Ride The Cyclone, 2015- 2018 - TALIA
1st run of show: Chicago Shakespeare Theater (on Navy Pier, Chicago)
2nd run of show: Lucille Lortell Theater (Off Broadway, New York City)
I played TALIA in Ride the Cyclone (AEA) in both the first run of the show at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and then was also re-cast for the second run of the show once it got an off-broadway trial at the MCC Theater and Lucille Lortel in NYC (!!!) My role was entirely digital and we shot with both the leading characters and understudies in advance of the first curtain. Talia is the main storyline for Misha's character and she is interacted with via projections onto other actors, fabric, and background canvas during every live show. I was paid weekly AEA same as all performers who were doing the show in person because the director and producers felt the role was large enough to warrant a weekly rate instead of a global buyout (how cool). It wasn't until 2019 that a second and only other Talia was cast -- as I had moved to Los Angeles and was unavailable for re-shoots so they moved forward with a NYC based actor. To date, this was one of my favorite roles. It was so cool to watch a smaller musical get a chance to be off-broadway. When I was initially cast none of us had any idea the show would get so big and continue to be extended. Talia forever <3
